Yorkshire Coast

The Yorkshire Coast has three very different main tourist-friendly towns: Bridlington, Whitby and Scarborough. Bridlington is offering sweeping sands and lovely views. Whitby is a curious town with a gothic history and undeniable charm. Scarborough is the oldest seaside town in the world and is the most typical British seaside destination of the three with amusements, sticks of rock and funfair rides for the kids. There are plenty of other smaller towns and villages along the coastline such as Runswick Bay, Staithes and Robin Hood’s Bay.

Prominent attractions in the region include the Sea Life Centre at Scarborough along with a wealth of museums, galleries and parks, such as Peasholm Park in Scarborough.

A strong network of A roads will take you all over the Yorkshire Coast by car or alternatively, well-distributed rail links are available.
